"Serving Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities
in the Holdingford Area Since 2000"
Annual Appeal is going well -
Our Appeal has been underway since February 1st and with 1 more month to go, we're already at 88% of our goal! Thank you for your tremendous response. We have heard from many new donors this time around as well. Besides the money, it's so uplifting for us to get the little encouraging notes in the donor envelopes. Thank you for partnering with us. For more information on our Appeal please check out our February 2010 Annual Appeal Newsletter. DONATE NOW |
2010 - Our 10th Anniversary Year
Can you believe how time passes!
We're SO thankful for the many wonderful people we've met over the years.
Our board has formed a special TASK FORCE to plan a year of anniversary activities.
If you are willing to sit down and plan with us how to best celebrate our anniversary,
please contact us soon. Thank you.
Help a Neighbor in 2010
We often hear from our volunteers how blessed they feel in helping someone else out. It certainly puts things into perspective when we can make a difference to someone else by simply providing a ride or an hour or so of housekeeping . . .
If you've got an hour of time a week Maybe this is the time to sign up as a Helping Hands volunteer to help an older adult or an adult with a disability with something that will help her or him stay in their home. There's no minimum you have to serve, an hour here and there, or several hours every week . . . whatever fits your time schedule. To get more information on ways to serve, give Diane a call at 746-9960.
"Supporter Gatherings"
Well Received
We have very positive response last Spring to these gatherings. They are not fundraising events and they are not volunteer training, rather they are an opportunity for our supporters to learn more about Helping Hands. Supporting us says that you believe in us, and you give of your money and/or your time so we want to be accountable to you for your support by keeping you up-to-date on what we're doing. Consider attending any third Tuesday of the month at 5 pm at the Holdingford City Center. Our next one is set for Tuesday, March 16! We are so thankful for the support we receive. We pledge to be faithful to your investment of "time and treasure" in helping older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes as long as possible.
"Our Mission is to help create a healthy community where older adults and adults with disabilities want to live and be a vital part of our community.
We do this by providing -
Information & Referral
Education & Training
Direct Volunteer & Professional Services
Social & Recreational Opportunities"
Use of this Seal has been granted to us since 2006 in recognition that we have "Met All Standards" of accountability and transparency as a non-profit. We have been told that this is a rare achievement for a relatively small nonprofit organization and a strong statement of our dedication to our supporters.
