The Stanford Model of Chronic Disease Self-Management

or "Living Well with Chronic Conditions" classes are now happening. We have trained leaders who are providing these classes in our area. The classes are 6 weeks long and materials are provided. A good meal and good fellowship as well. People who have completed the series have very positive comments that it has helped them cope with their chronic disease. Consider this for yourself. Call Shari at 320-746-9960 for more information or to register. There is no charge for the series, but we appreciate donations.

Minutes of Movement

is a project to encourage physical movement to maintain strength and balance. Studies have proven that a sedentary lifestyle can lead to a variety of health problems. Our leader visits with you to set up personal goals for movement. Then you decide how to increase your level of movement each day from making minor lifestyle adjustments like parking further from the door to the store to committing to a 1/2 hour walk 3X a week. It's up to you what you do. We will guide you along the way. We even have fun with it by giving out prizes and healthy snacks! Interested in getting started? Contact Shari at 320-746-9960.
