Helping Hands Calendar for March 2010
March 1 (and every Monday morning) Matter of Balance class continues at the Fairview Apartments (111 S. 3rd St. in Holdingford) at 10 am to help
prevent falling by building strength and enhancing your balance. Call the office and ask for Shari for more information or to register. It's evidence
-based which means it's proven to make make a difference. The classes continue every Monday morning through this month. Try it out.
March 11 Shopping Trip to St. Cloud. Call the office if you'd like to come along so we can plan the transportation.
March 16 Supporter Gathering We invite donors, volunteers, and anyone who supports us in any way to come and learn more about Helping Hands and
what we do. We meet in the Holdingford City Center and it starts at 5:00 PM and includes a supper. We also ask that you come prepared to
give us feedback and suggestions so we may always keep an open ear to the community in which we serve.
March 18 Community Luncheon for Older Adults, Adults with Disabilities and anyone in the community who would like to come and have a good time
with others. It is from 2 - 4 pm at the Legion in Holdingford. Our speaker for this momth is Joan Thralow from the Memory Disorders Clnic
to share with us about memory loss issues. We will also have The Neumans to entertain us. They're always a lot of fun! And, of course, a
wonderful meal as always! Bring a friend new to the luncheons and get a gift. Remember: The luncheons are always open to anyone in the
community regardless of age . . . join us!
March 19 Orphan Train Experience We will take a bus to Cold Spring for this pictorial slide history. It should prove to be very interesteing. A bus will
leave from our office in Holdingford. The cost will be $5.00 person. Call our office to register.
March 24 Helping Hands monthly Board of Directors meeting will be held at the Holdingford City Center from 7 - 8:30 pm. Come and learn more about
Helping Hands.

April 14-15 Defensive Driving Class for those 55 and over who have not taken it before. It will be from 6 - 10 pm on both days at the Senior High in
Holdingford. Please call Terri Sunde at 320-746-2221 to sign up. It may mean 10% reduction in your auto insurance rates!
May 2 Annual Volunteer Apreciation event, a time to honor all those who give so much to our program. We had great raves about it last year. We'll
have a special program provided by comedienne Corinne Leiser and a delicious supper. We invite the whole community to come and honor our
volunteers. Mark it down now. See you.
