Helping Hands Calendar for August 2010
August 4 Shopping Trip to stores in St. Cloud. We will carpool from our office leaving at 10 am. Please give us a call at the office if
you are interested in going along.
August 19 Community Luncheon for Older Adults, Adults with Disabilities and anyone in the community who would like to come and
have a good trime among friends. It is from 2 - 4 pm at the Legion in Holdingford. We'll have a health speaker and some
great music by the Bottom of the Hill Band and a healthy lunch.
August 25 The "Mystery Lunch Bunch" will gather again for lunch. Anyone in the community who would like to join us to go to lunch
somewhere in our area (that's the "mystery" part) - explore and support the various cafes and restaurants in our area. No cost
to join the "Bunch" - other than paying for your meal. Each month the group will decide on where they will go next month. We
always meet on the designated day at 11 am at our office at 511 Main St. in Holdingford.
August 26 Caregiver Support Group for anyone who is providing basic care for a loved one on a regular basis. Plan to get away for
a little break and meet with others who are also caregiving. There are things to learn from others and ways to do your
caregiving with less stress. Share a little, laugh a little . . . this support group will meet at 10:00 AM at the Helping Hands
Office. Call Shari for more info.

October 21 Mark your calendars now. We will be going again to the Geritol Frolics in Brainerd. The show will start as 2:30 PM; we will leave our office at 12:30 PM. Cost for the ride and ticket is $16.00. (If the cost is a hardship, call our office and inquire about a scholarship from the Ambrose & Lorraine Wentland Memorial Fund) We will stop for supper on the way home at your cost. Please call as soon as possible, we only have 20 tickets available.
